Hey Condors and college partners,

Earlier this year we announced a pause to our Student Nutritional Access Program (or SNAP) for the Spring semester while we worked to realign our efforts to meet the needs of our changing student population.

We are thrilled to announce that the following programming will be rolled out throughout the Fall 2025 semester and beyond:

Affordable Produce Program

Students will be able to purchase a bag of locally sourced produce at monthly markets located at our Doon, Cambridge, Reuter, and Waterloo campuses. These bags will be priced at $5.00 to ensure students have access to nutrient dense and affordable produce throughout the semester.

Emergency Pantry Program

Students will be able to access food and hygiene items from their home campus to meet emergency food or personal care needs. To ensure we are able to meet the needs of as many students as possible, pickups are limited to once every 30 days per student.

Nutritional Tools & Resources

For students looking to bring their own lunches to campus, CSI will continue to provide and maintain microwaves at each campus so students can heat up their delicious home-cooked meals.

Nutritional Needs Research

CSI will invest a portion of our budget to work with a third-party market research company to collect more robust data on the nutritional needs of our students. This work will include surveys, student consultation, focus groups, and nutritional based prizing for participants. Through these efforts, CSI will work to better tailor our Food Security services to meet the needs of our student membership.

Additional details including program logistics, market dates, and additional ways to get involved with market research will be made available throughout the Fall 2025 semester.
