Did you know that CSI hosts an Annual General Meeting every fall to share updates with our members? And when we say members, we mean you!
As a student at Conestoga, you’re automatically a member, which means you get access to all the perks and services that come with it. Yep, there’s a whole lot more to your CSI membership than you might think.
So, what exactly is the AGM all about?
The Annual General Meeting is a chance to learn what happened in our previous operating year, get an overview of CSI's financials, and hear about any changes we’ve made to our bylaws. It’s also a great way to get involved and to have your voice heard by voting on items that need member approval.
To keep things transparent and make sure you’re always in the loop, CSI puts together an Annual General Report each year that’s available to all members, aka students! The report gives you a behind-the-scenes look at what we’ve been working on, how CSI is supporting students, and what’s happening across the organization.
You can find the most recent report, along with reports from previous years, on the Annual General Meeting page on our website.
Think of the Annual General Meeting as your chance to dive a little deeper and get the full question. If you have a question about something you read or want to learn more, come to the AGM and have your voice heard.
Ready to get involved? Here are all the details you need to know!
When will the AGM be happening this year?
- 📅 Date: Tuesday, October 29
- ⏰ Time: 7:30pm
- 📍How to attend: The AGM is hybrid, so you can join us in person at the Venue (Doon Campus) or from home.
How can I get involved?
- Attending the meeting is a great way to get involved and have your voice heard. You’ll have the opportunity to vote on any bylaw changes brought forward for approval.
- If you’re unable to attend the meeting, you can still have your say by submitting a proxy vote ahead of time.
Where can I get more information?
- Check your inbox! Leading up to the AGM, our friends at GetQuorum will email you on behalf of CSI’s Board of Directors. This will include an invitation to the meeting, a package of documents that will be reviewed during the meeting, details about joining virtually, and a proxy form you can use to vote.
Remember, attending the meeting is a great way to learn how CSI operates and supports you. Let us know your feedback on your experience and get involved with empowerment and advocacy!
We can’t wait to see you on October 29th!
